HiFormance.com is a relatively new hosting provider. For Black Friday 2017, they've posted a number of specials, including the following Special-VZ1 plan for the low, low price of $9 per year.
- 1 CPU
- 0.5GB Ram
- 20GB SSD
- 1TB BW
- OpenVZ / SolusVM
- $9/year ($0.75/month)
Here's a disk and network benchmark from the popular bench.sh script:

Definitely no slouch in network as well as disk performance, which in my subjective opinion are both well above average for an OpenVZ-based VPS. Ultimately I decided to cancel within their 3-day window for a full refund since I needed something with more RAM, but if 512MB is enough for you this is a great offer.
